Everyone has a story. Yours has a place here.
How a shared stirring became a church in Costa Mesa — and why we believe you were made for a part in the story God is writing.
It began with two people and the same quiet stirring.
Suddenly, dormant desires erupted in their hearts. The Holy Spirit was igniting new passions — and pastors Daniel Orduña and Scott Williams could each see that God was stirring the very same thing in the other.
Words weren't necessary. There was a knowing in the room — a sense that something new was being born, and that the two of them were being drawn into it together.
I'm looking across the room, knowing that the Spirit is speaking the same thing to Daniel as He is to me.
As they kept discerning the call, one conviction grew louder than the rest: the power of story — and the truth that each of us has a place in the grand narrative God is writing. This is an epic story of God's love for all people, and his desire that everyone would experience grace and find their role in His narrative.
From that stirring, a calling took shape: to bring a unique church community to the city of Costa Mesa — a people who would live out three rhythms of life together, formed by a central discipleship process they call Story Crafting.
A community of people who…
Three rhythms shape our life together — not programs to attend, but a way of walking with God and one another.

We want to be a church of apprentices.
Not a program-driven, consumer church — but a community learning to live like Jesus. Sundays are the launchpad, not the destination. When we lean in, formation follows participation, and Jesus shows up in powerful ways.
Story Crafting
At the heart of Narrative is a formational discipleship process we call Story Crafting — a way of discovering how your life intersects with the bigger story God is telling, and learning to live your part of it on purpose.
